In this article you'll find a list of all the options available when inserting the Download Vault Advanced Folders & Files Listing placeholder.
What files do you want to display?
Display Type
This is the main field that determines exactly what files are made available through this placeholder and there are 4 options to choose from. Bear in mind that regardless of what option is chosen, a user will only ever be able to see folders their assigned member groups and companies have permission to see.
- Show all folders
This will simply list all folders in the Download Vault and when a user views the front-end they will see all folders they have permission to see.
- Show specific folders
After selecting this option you'll see a list of all your Download Vault folders and a checkbox to display child folders. Using this option, you can choose specific folders to list, and optionally choose to include any sub-folders of the selected folders.
- Show company folders
Selecting this option will display all folders for the company the user is assigned to.
- Show group folders
Similar to above, this option will display all folders for the member group the user is assigned to.
What functionality do you want to include?

This will include a search box so users can search the Download Vault for specific files.
Display Folder Action
You can choose to hide or show Folder Actions on this placeholder, some Folder Actions include uploading new files into the folder, or creating a new folder inside the current folder.
Display Checkboxes and Download as Zip
Checking this option will display checkboxes next to each folder and file and it also displays a button allowing users to download all the selected files and folders in a single ZIP file.
Display New Filter
The New Filter will only display files, and folders containing files, that are new.
Display Upload Button
When the folder being viewed contains folders, and the user has permission to upload files into any of those folders, this option will display an upload button on the row for those folders. This allows users to upload folders without first going into the folder and will save a bit of time.
Display Download Button
When the folder being viewed contains folders, this option will display a download button on the row for those folders. This will allow the user to download the entire folder as a single ZIP file.
Display Remove Button
When the folder being viewed contains folders, and the user has permission to delete any of those folders, this option will display a delete button on the row for those folders. This will allow the user to delete this folder and all the files and sub-folders it contains.
What information do you want to display?
Display Breadcrumbs
Breadcrumbs are a list of the folders a user has gone into, leading back to the root directory. It's a way of showing users where in the folder structure they are.
Root Folder Name
If you choose to include Breadcrumbs, the first value in the list of Breadcrumbs is the root folder and it is "Download Vault" by default but this value can be changed to anything else on the Configuration page.
The Root Folder Name feature allows you to, for the current placeholder only, use a different name for the root folder. For example, let's say you have gone to the Configuration page and changed the root folder name to Document Storage, but for this particular placeholder you want the root folder to be referred to as Public Documents, you could insert Public Documents into this field and it will appear as the root folder name for the current placeholder only.
Display List Header
Checking this box will display column headers and is highly recommended in most cases.
Display Icon And Name
Checking this box will display the icon and file name and is highly recommended in most cases.
